www.InsectIdentification.org is a private venture of mine dating back to 2005. The purpose of the site is to provide an educational reference to North American insects and spiders.
The site features a fully-functioning user comment system, is fully updateable from brower-based administration pages and sees a large influx of traffic in the summer months.
At it's peak, the website enjoys roughly 1,700 unique visitors a day.
What I was responsible for in this project:
Design mockups in Photoshop
Design slicing in ImageReady
Production in Dreamweaver
ASP 3.0 programming
Database design and development in ACCESS
User initiated comment system
Article development as needed
